Alan Jackson Blasts Trutanich's Record of Failures and Failed Promises "Election Hangover 2"

District Attorney candidate Alan Jackson is not pulling any punches when it comes to outing City Attorney Carmen Trutanich's woeful record of failures and failed promises. The following from the Alan Jackson campaign:

NEW JACKSON AD HIGHLIGHTS TRUTANICH’S BROKEN PROMISES, RECORD OF FAILURE AS CITY ATTORNEY

Video Ad Entitled “Election Hangover Part II”

Los Angeles, July 19th – Today the Alan Jackson campaign released a web ad response to Carmen Trutanich’s candidacy for District Attorney. Since his decision to run, it is clear that Trutanich will be turning his attention away from his job as City Attorney to launch a campaign for higher office. Using a parody of the Hangover Part II movie trailer, the ad highlights Trutanich’s broken promises and failed record since he was elected City Attorney. The spot is called “Election Hangover Part II.”

Not only has Carmen Trutanich broken his promise not to run for higher office, he has been an unsuccessful City Attorney. Under his watch, the City of Los Angeles is undergoing a widespread corruption probe by the FBI. Meanwhile, Trutanich has stifled first amendment rights, choosing to cut vital programs and staff salaries while refusing to cut his own. With all this mayhem, Trutanich is now looking for higher office.

“Not only is Trutanich breaking his sworn promise to the voters, but he’s been a huge disappointment as City Attorney. Now he wants a promotion and a pay raise?” asked Jackson’s strategist John S. Thomas.

“Apparently Mr. Trutanich is as serious about fighting corruption in the city as he is about completing his term as City Attorney,” said Thomas.

Thomas continued, “With the early release of prisoners from California State prisons looming large, we need a District Attorney who takes his job seriously and will put the people of LA County before his own political career.”

Trutanich’s “Pledge to Serve” stipulates that if Trutanich breaks his promise to serve two terms as City Attorney and not seek higher office, he must pay $100,000 of personal funds to the Best Afterschool Program for Kids and place a full-page ad in every major daily paper with a picture of himself and text stating ‘I AM A LIAR’.

Trutanich is toxic. The city council are moving to strip him of his civil powers according to the Times article today. It takes a really great A'HOLE to destroy the city attorneys office, even Rocky couldn't do that, but the San Pedro knuckle-dragger is the A'HOLE of the century.

Jackson's ad rocks! Trutanich is a lying sack, and now everyone knows it. Good job AJ, apart from Berger, you are the only one who sticks it to Trudtanich.

I don't have a pony in this race yet, but one thing I know for sure is Alan Jackson is a twerp.

No one is going to vote for that sanctimonious self promoter.

Agree with 7:33 about Jackson, but if I had to choose between AJ or Turdanich, I would choose AJ. Hell, Ipsen looks good compared to that asswad.

Jackson's strategist John Thomas has already destroyed Kevin James campaign.

Watch him drain all of Jackson's money before the summer is over.

Jackson is setting himself apart from the pack by taking the the fight to Trutanich. Jackson is the only one of the candidates who sees Trutanich for what he is; a bully and a thug. And like all bullies and thugs, Trutanich is basically a coward who hides behind his staffers when the heat is on.

And 10:14pm, if you think John Thomas is making bank out of AJ's campaign, how much do you think Trutanich is paying John Shallman? Shallman has been working for Trutanich since November last year and all he's done is dig a deeper hole to bury the millions he's going to make out of Trutanich's vanity and oversized ego.

I love what AJ has done with Election Hangover II, can anyone else hear the sound of a fatty steak on the political bbq?

Jackson seems to have the guts to wield the sword and actually use it. Kudos. Looks like we have a real race on our hands.

I heard nuch blew a gasket yesterday and was dealt the one two punch with this ad and the council pulling his authority. Bad news for the nuch.

I hear Trutanich is thinking twice about running for DA and may NOT run. Not necessarily because of AJs attacks, but heard he's thinking about running for a "higher" office and is worried that if he looses the DA election that will completely ruin his political future (if it hasn't been ruined already).

Yes agree with 10:14 - very well done video for sure but with only a little over 100 views on YouTube not sure the public at large really cares about AJ or Nuch. It's not even a viral video in the DA or CA's office which is strange because it's quite entertaining!

Stupid video. What demographic are they trying to appeal to with the Hangover/monkey/rocker music...Hollywood club kids? Jesus. People over 50 will swing this election. None of whom are in the least concerned about this race yet, by the way. That's the problem with starting a campaign so early...you blow money and energy when nobody outside the DA's Office gives a damn yet. 100 views on Youtube. 50 of them were Jackson's family.

Not saying she's my vote, but watch the Lacey campaign. Slowly building as the election draws near. Around the holidays, Cooley is going to retire, and Lacey will become DA. She will then be campaigning as the incumbent. GAME OVER.

Trutanich probably won't be running. Jackson is too effeminate and doesn't project strength- only personal ambition. He'll be tapped out from spending on hair care products. Everyone else is a long-shot.

Final prediction- watch for someone not currently being talked about right now to enter the race and be a contender.
