Trutanich 0-66 In Controller report

This one missed our attention last week, but it's worth repeating. City Controller Wendy Greuel blasted City Attorney Carmen Trutanich for failing to implement a single one of the 66 recommendations made in the audit of his office's workers compensation program. The audit's recommendations were made a year ago. What has Trutanich done? Nothing. His response? "We're working on it."

As seems to be the new trend with Trutanich, he doesn't comment on bad news topics, but lets someone from his office do the talking. In this case, it was someone the Los Angeles Metropolitan News Enterprise identified only as a "spokesperson." Perhaps he was too embarrassed to have to admit to another one of Trutanich's growing list of failures.

Read the excuses in the Met News, if you can be bothered, but it's all beginning to sound like a broken record from Trutanich - big promises and absolutely no follow through.

That also seems to be the case where the quality of Trutanich's legal services to the Fire Commission are concerned. We hear there's a new report from the Fire Commission which is less than complimentary about Trutanich. Developing...

Nobody cares about the fire dept bitching and whining about Trutanich, it's old news even if there's a new report - it just says the same thing: Trutanich doesn't know how to do his job.

Keep probing the rentgate story. Trutanich is really worried about that. He should be, whoever gave you the tipoff knows the truth, and where to find it.

Nuch made a big deal about the controller being allowed to audit the City Attorneys office when he was running for office, but just like EVERY other one of his promises, he did not follow through. 66 recommendations and not a single one acted on. Now the Fire Dept makes 30, I repeat, 30 specific requests for legal advice, and Nuch is too busy running for DA to lift a fat finger. Nuc is a bigger phony and a bigger failure than Rocky. Shame on him.

This entire website is full of lies created by David Berger who was FIRED by Nuch for wasting city time blogging and screwing up relations with supporters and fundraisers. Berger spent all his time standing by the trash can smoking, he should be in the trash can because that's all he's worth. Nuch will be your boss and you will be fired again.

Are the rumors that Cooley is going to jump back into the DA's race true??

9:38 Cooley was lied to and used by Trutanich for Trutanich's own political ambitions to become City Attorney as a stepping stone to become DA. Without Cooley, he would have never been City Attorney. Does Trutanich really think Cooley is such a chump? That's the type of disrespect Cooley will not tolerate and that's why he will jump back into the race: right after Trutanich announces.

Cooley will not run again. He took a deep hit in the AG race and will not want to repeat the experience. Lacey is the clear favorite; her politics, race and ballot designation trumps all the others. Her only serious competition comes from Trutanich and he is already backpedaling as the scandals of his ethics violation investigation and his record of failure with LAFD and the City Council are gaining major media attention. The rentgate scandal in particular is worrying donors that they could find themselves in the spotlight, especially the ones who negotiate contracts with the City - there's a rule against them making pay to play donations, and as Trutanich hasn't announced that he is running, their donations could be regarded as donations to him as City Attorney to buy favor. WIth Trutanich fighting to save his skin, he will probably throw some of his supporters under the bus so that he can try to hang on to his City job, but any plans to be DA have gone down the crapper.

That leaves Lacey with two viable challengers; Trujillo and Jackson. Neither have as much experience as Lacey and do not have Cooley's backing. Lacey's not pulling out, she's going all in.

The black community is behind Danette. They think the Cooley tag along career that has been Jackie Lacey's claim to fame is grotesque. Jackie doesn't have a chance no one respects her in the office.

10:09am, where's the "Black Community" on Bobby Grace? Who is their spokesperson? Danette's fundraising doesn't seem to show any particular community being behind her any more or less than anyone else.

Looks like there's a DA debate planned soon. I have seen Alan, Danette and Bobby in court (since none of the other candidates actually try cases). If anyone has seen Danette in action, then you know that she is a serious force to contend with. I doubt any of the other candidates can win in a debate against her. I hope Nuch will announce before that debate so he can be a part of it too. Wonder what he has to say. He'll probably not even participate in the debate if he was invited. What do you all think? Nuch a no show? I would pay to see Nuch there just to see what he will say to Alan. Let's make sure he is invited regardless of whether he announces.

To the person who posted - "This entire website is full of lies created by David Berger who was FIRED by Nuch for wasting city time blogging and screwing up relations with supporters and fundraisers. "
- Your argument comes off as very lame when everything reported here is easily checked and, as a matter of fact, most of the L.A. newspapers have reported on these subjects - all supporting what L.A. Dragnet is saying about Nuch. He's a bully, a narcissist, and worst of all completely incompetent at the job he was elected to do. He lies without shame and I suspect that you are probably either Nuch himself or someone Nuch has promised a position to if he wins as D.A.

You can always tell when someone scores a direct hit against David "sour grapes" Berger. He always writes back crying like a little pussy.
