Just the facts, Ma'am? Not so much.
More of a sharply satirical slant on the shenanigans of politics and politicians in Los Angeles.
Musante is one of the most talented trial attorneys in the DA's office. He'll certainly be able to generate a lot of debate on the issues he's focused on...which is probably why they are trying to keep him out of the debate next week.
I'm glad the Dragnet has started talking about the other candidates. We've heard enough about that bloated asswad Trutanich and his misdeeds. He will self-implode before much longer, and having a guy like Marcus in the race, who is not afraid to call out Trutanich will make things more interesting.BTW, anyone heard anything about Ipsen? He's not answering his phone at the office ...
Anonymous 6:53PM - We're looking into it. Thanks.
I heard Trujillo is in a sheer panick over this. It will definitely eat up Trujillo votes. Musante, Ipsen, and Meyers are the only three willing to take on Cooley's policies of turd. Good for Musante. Let him in the ring. Lets hear what's on his mind.
Cooley will launch an investigation on Musante shortly. If Cooley could just prosecute Ipsen, Trutanich, and Musante he could really rule the world. The Met News will be the next to blast an article and try to derail Musante. Cooley is on the phone to all of his friends.
Cooley is going to have to enter this race to keep Nutch from winning. I imagine that is why Nutch is waiting so long to make his candidacy official.
Noooch won't declare his candidacy until the last possible moment so that he can avoid the candidates' forums and debates as long as possible. All the real candidates have embarrassing and damaging material on Noooch and they will filet him like a gutted fish. The longer he can hide from his record the better chance he has of making it past the run off. It's going to get really ugly for him.
IMHO, Musante has been put up to run by Cooley so that he can destroy Trutanich. It's the same thing that Berger did to take out Jack Weiss in 2009. Berger didn't stand a chance of winning (like Musante) but he excoriated Weiss. Trutanich will go the same way, with a lot of help from his friends too.
When is the last day to declare candidacy? Does that last day apply to Cooley as well?
10:19PM - Trutanich does not have to officially declare his candidacy until he files nominating papers, which must done between Feb. 13 and March 9, 2012. The primary election will be on June 5, and if no candidate gets more than 50% of the vote, then the top two face each other in a run-off on November 6, 2012.If Cooley decides he's going to run for a 4th term, he has to decide by March 9, 2012, but he'll have a hard time raising the money to win the primary in such short time. He's not running. Get over it.
