ANNOUNCE SUPPORT FOR JACKSON
Los Angeles, March 1st – Today the San Gabriel Police Officers’ Association announced their endorsement of Alan Jackson for District Attorney. SGPOA is the latest of several other prominent police organizations across the County to endorse Jackson’s candidacy.
“It is absolutely essential for police officers to have a battle tested, top notch prosecutor, not a politician as our next DA. Alan Jackson’s record as a leader and prosecutor is unmatched. The San Gabriel Police Officers’ Association is proud to endorse Jackson for DA.”
“In the election for District Attorney, Jackson is clearly the choice of law enforcement in LA County. Police officers are picking sides and they are standing with Alan Jackson,” said Jackson’s strategist John S. Thomas.
Deputy DA Alan Jackson stated, “This latest endorsement means a lot to me. I’m a cops’ prosecutor and have prided myself on working closely with law enforcement throughout my entire career as a prosecutor. As DA I promise to continue to partner with law enforcement to keep our streets safe.”
Jackson has also been endorsed by Inglewood PA and El Monte POA as well as police chiefs representing over 100 years of law enforcement experience.

his email announcement, District Attorney candidate Mario Trujillo said of Congresswoman Roybal-Allard's endorsement: "I am proud to be supported by one of the most impressive legislators in the United States. The outpouring of support from elected officials illustrates their trust in me and my ability to lead the LA County District Attorney's Office. Leaders like Congresswoman Roybal-Allard understand that the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office is an important position that needs leadership."
Trutanich has lost the grass roots
a CityWatch LA editorial made it clear that Trutanich has lost the support of the people who elected him.
Citing Trutanich's stalled ACE Program as one of many reasons why his voter base has abandoned him, it was interesting to note that the fears first expressed about the ACE Program in the blogs have finally resonated with the Neighborhood Councils. The NC's once championed Trutanich as the "People's Lawyer" until his shock betrayal of his 'Pledge to Serve' forced them to realize that he was, perhaps, more aptly to be termed the "People's Liar."
Trutanich, for his part, seems unconcerned that the grass roots support that once hailed him have now abandoned him. He seems far more interested in serving the needs and interests of organized labor, and few would doubt that his reputation for bullying, threatening and making empty promises is better suited to the Jimmy Hoffa style of leadership favored by Big Labor.
