Alan Jackson challenges 'pathological liar' Carmen Trutanich on FOX 11 News

Los Angeles City Prosecutor Carmen Trutanich came across as a troubled, irritable jerk when he was interviewed by FOX 11 News Anchorman Jeff Michael. Some say Trutanich was 'ambushed' by Michael's hard hitting style, but that did not deter District Attorney candidate Alan Jackson from stepping into the lion's den to answer questions from Michael about why he had won a lawsuit stopping Trutanich from using a false and misleading ballot title.

Jackson said he had to act to stop Trutanich from intentionally misleading voters, and that the judge had agreed with him.

The judge's ruling was clear, Jackson said. Trutanich was ordered not use 'Los Angeles Chief Prosecutor' or 'Chief Criminal Prosecutor' to mislead voters. But, as Jackson told a surprised Jeff Michael, Trutanich is still using that title on his website, in campaign materials, and in his ballot statement. Jackson issued a direct challenge to Trutanich on FOX News to 'Do the right thing' and remove those misleading titles. 'Voters want honesty' Jackson said.

Truillo backs Trutanich

The LA Times reported that Mario Trujillo has endorsed Carmen 'The Clown Conman" Trutanich's lie-ridden campaign to  become District Attorney. In doing so, Trujillo has proven that he has much in common with the former ambulance chaser plaintiff's attorney turned career politician; he promises a lot and delivers nothing.

Hard hitting questions? The entire interview was like a Larry King softball. Fox is obviously biased against Trutanich and in favor of Jackson.

Jackson looks and sounds like a real DA. He is exactly the kind of leader that the DA's Office needs, and he would accomplish great things as DA. And these weren't softball questions. The difference between Jackson's interview and Trutanich's disastrous interview is that Jackson is actually intelligent, well-prepared, well-informed, and a great public speaker.

Mario Trujillo should be ashamed of himself for what he has done. The irony is that Trutanich will not win, and that will be the end of Mario. Even if Trutanich were to win, he has never kept a promise he made in his entire time on the planet, he isn't going to change, and it's also the end of Mario's career. Mario has betrayed the rank and file of the DA's Office who do not want a bragging liar politician as their boss, and he has betrayed the trust of Steve Cooley and Jackie Lacey who believed in him, promoted him, and thought that he put the welfare of the office ahead of his personal ambition and greed. Bad move Mario.

I am so sorry to hear this about Mario, whom many believed could win this thing not too long ago. 4:38 is right that it is the end of Mario either way...perhaps he wants it to be? The lack of foresight on his part is rather striking. Very self-destructive and sad.

Kinda agree with 4:38pm, most ddas i spoke to were very disappointed with Mario's endorsement. It is not as if he doesn't know that 99% of ddas hate the idea of working for Trutanich. We've seen and heard nothing good about him and his way of doing things is completely oposite to the way the DA's office runs. We have all worked hard to have credibility and respect, and we're proud to belong to the greatest, least political and most professional prosecutors office in the country. Trutanich destroys that just be the mention of his name. I cannot believe that Mario could be so stupid as to believe or trust anything Trutanich says.

All you Nuch haters, get a life. Other than character assassination what criminal justice issues are the cornerstone of AJ's campaign? AJ's campaign reminds me of the slick criminal defense attorney who attacks the police and the prosecutor because he has nothing to say about the actual crime.

Agree with 8:50 and that's why Alan's only fans are himself and his law clerk trolls. Alan has no experience outside the office and his trial experience which he touts is less than most Grade 3 DDAs in the office with his 60 felony trials gimme a break.

Why does 8:50PM (Shallman) think we are all Nuch haters? Of course Nuch's character is up for question - I mean he has made his campaign platform one of how big a lie will voters believe. There is nothing honest or decent about Nuch, so he is fair game. And as for attacking AJ about issues, have you looked at the Blueprint on Nuch's website. Go on, take a look and then post all of his brilliant ideas. Oh, small problem. There aren't any. Nuch only has one idea - he wants to be DA. Only problem is, nobody wants him to be DA.
