1. JudgeGate
Was Trutanich's support for a Judge who was rated "Not Qualified" a political payback? Did Trutanich "fix" things so that a candidate for Superior Court Judge could mislead voters by claiming to be a 'Criminal Prosecutor' without having prosecuted anyone? 2. 'Criminal Aspects'Gate
On July 21, 2009, while the world's media was embroiled in a frenzy over the sudden death of Michael Jackson, City Attorney Carmen Trutanich grabbed the limelight in what some believe was simply an attempt to make himself relevant to a worldwide story that would launch his political career.

Trutanich stunned a specially convened meeting of the Los Angeles City Council with his startling revelation; he had, in the space of barely two-weeks, uncovered 'criminal aspects' to the memorial that took place in Michael Jackson's honor. In a style that now seems all too reminiscent of the McCarthy era, Trutanich used accusations and innuendo to prove his case in the court of public opinion. But when he facts became known, it appears that Trutanich was playing with an empty hand.

'Criminal Aspects'Gate is the second in our continuing series "The Trutanich Scandals," and was originally published on December 18, 2011. Click here to read the original article and comments.
